It's easy to get it wrong when hanging a picture but it only comes down to some
simple maths to get it right.
Firstly position the picture, with the help of a friend, to where you want it on
the wall. Mark the wall at the bottom of the picture and measure from the bottom
of the frame to where the string stretches.
You want the picture to hang in the centre of the wall, so measure end to end,
then divide by 2 to get the centre, then mark the wall.
Make sure you take the tension of the string on the tape measure and pick it up
to avoid the picture stretching. Measure up from the bottom, find the centre
line and that’s where the hole will go.
When drilling the hole, use a hammer drill as it is a lot more efficient than
ordinary drills when it comes to getting through bricks. Place a raw plug and
screw into the hole, drill it securely back into the wall, and add your picture
hook.
It’s simple to get all your pictures level and straight when you know how to do
it the right way!.
