Selleys Timber Polyfilla is great for giving a perfectly smooth finish to timber
which otherwise might show holes and marks.
You simply fill knotholes, dents and dings with the Polyfilla, making sure you
get it right in, and then feathering it out. The great thing about Polyfilla for
timber is that it moves with the timber so that it won’t crack if the timber
shrinks nor fall out if the timber expands in the heat. And you can even nail it
when it’s dry.
Selleys Rotacota blade spatula is best for this type of job because it’s
flexible which really gets the Polyfilla into the holes and really feathers out
the filler.
Then once you’re ready to paint don’t forget the drop sheet to prevent nasty
accidents. A heavy canvas one is best, as it will soak up any spills. And you
can walk on it without it sticking to your feet and dragging like plastic does.
