Everyone loves a celebration and food is all about celebration. Every weekend,
especially in our wonderful summers, people get together around the barbeque for
fun and food. The sharing of food conveys a sense of belonging, bringing people
together with a special bond. Eating together is an enjoyable social experience,
which is especially important in our increasingly time poor busy lifestyles.
There is no better way to do this than over the barbeque without other
distractions such as televisions and computers.
Barbequing is a great way to cook even when you have a ton of people dropping
in! Try to be creative with what you cook and not just stick with the old
sausage favourites.
Why not try kebabs for a change. You can prepare them well in advance and just
keep them refrigerated until you’re ready to cook. Try prawns, surf and turf,
pork and apple and chicken satay. These will please every taste.
Lamb chops are great for a change and chicken and pork take on a wonderful
flavour when cooked on a BBQ. For the non-meat eaters, asparagus, octopus and
fish can either be barbequed directly on the hot plate, or wrapped in foil for a
poached flavour.
But remember that whenever you want to get together with your family and friends
Sizzler is a great place to visit.
