The Exercise Circuit encompasses 3 different exercises, each strengthening and
toning your body and keeping your heart rate up, without any equipment – just
using your own body weight.
Firstly, Push ups. On the ground with knees down and hands wide apart, chest
down to the ground. Give a big squeeze as you come up and stay strong through
the abs. Concentrate on your breathing and pull your shoulders back and down.
Try to repeat these at least 10 times, or even better, keep gong for as long as
you can.
Upper Squats. Direct your weight through your heels and really squeeze your
backside as you push up, keeping your chest and upper body right up. Keep
breathing and make sure your knees are over your heels. Again, do as many as you
can.
Then back on the ground for the Plank. Have your forearms on the ground, knees
off the ground and press your heels back towards the ground. Even though it
doesn't look like you're doing very much it is a real core strengthener. Pull
your abs towards your spine and keep your body long and strong, like a plank!
Hold this position for as long as you can.
To get results you have to really challenge yourself. Push yourself as hard as
you can while keeping good form. Don't overdo it and before you know it you'll
have the results you're after.
